My love for jewelry-making began in my early teens with a dear friend of mine and continued to blossom over the years. In 2007, I started selling curated accessories to my fellow college classmates through a Facebook group, which sparked the idea to share my own handmade creations more widely. By 2009, I launched my first Etsy shop featuring my handmade pieces and in 2020 I rebranded to Lillian & Joan. What started as a passion project has since evolved into what you see today, an eclectic accessory shop and a personal journey toward purpose.

Inspired by my multicultural heritage and a lifelong appreciation for life’s beautiful details, I believe accessories aren’t just finishing touches, they make the outfit and are powerful tools for self-expression, allowing you to show up in the world as your distinct, authentic self.

Hailing from Guyana, I draw endless style inspiration from two of the most glamorous, wise women I know: my grandmother, Lillian, and my mother, Joan. Their influence is woven into every collection I design, make, and curate — from handcrafted pieces to one-of-a-kind vintage treasures.

Beyond our signature accessory collections, we also host culturally-curated digital pop-up shops, celebrating the rich beauty and stories of cultures from around the world. These pop-ups reflect both my heritage and my love for travel, offering you a chance to experience global style in a personal, approachable way.
